We work with a handful of suppliers with different skills, based in India, Greece, and China. Most of them are long-term partnerships and relations that go way back since both of my parents have always been in the industry. I mean, it is so sweet, one of our suppliers has known me since I was just a little girl. When I was younger, maybe 10 years ago, he was even helping me out with a school project! So seeing me grow through this whole journey creates so much joy and respect both ways, and I’m very grateful for support and relationships like these..
I feel like people are often scared of the words “made in China” or “made in India”, and I get that. Because seen from the outside productions often feel so far from being transparent, and we only hear all these unbearable, awful stories all the time.
And naturally, my future goal is to be geographically closer to our production and work with European suppliers on a bigger scale.
But for me, the ultimate key and goal is the relationship, mutual respect, trust, love, and transparency between us and our suppliers, even though they might physically live further away.
And we have built that, which I am very proud of.
From day one, our suppliers have been so supportive, so motivated and so extremely kind by helping me out and letting HUMBLE grow at our own healthy pace from very small collections and limited quantities, and I am them forever grateful for believing in HUMBLEs journey and supporting my dream.
